Name: Gwendolyn Lily McBride
Address: Winnipeg, MB
High Concept: A genius, but very bored.
Personal Struggle: Having fun versus hurting people.
Where Did You Come From?
Lyn grew up in the North End as an only child. Her father left when she was young. Her mother, a wannabe hippie, does her best to support them by providing homeopathic healing, with which Lyn helps.
What Shapes You?
Lyn, after sending a fake love note, realizes she’s put herself on the wrong side of a ‘nerd’ who happens to be possessed by an angry ghost.
What’s Your First Novel?
That Smarts!
After getting on the wrong side of a ghost, Lyn must find a way to save both herself and the boy the ghost is possessing. Jim Swan happens to respond to a noise disturbance caused by Lyn’s attempt to “spook” the ghost and assists her in rescuing the boy and escaping from school. Pumped on spiritual ecstasy after a Wednesday evening prayer service, Sydney passes the graveyard where Lyn is struggling to exorcise the boy’s ghost and stands in the gap to hold back the other ghosts aroused by the excited supernatural currents.

Stunts
- Capable Researcher – Some say Lyn was born in a library. Any scholarly research Lyn does is completed two time increments faster than usual—due in large part to the fact that she’s probably read something about it before. (This ability does not extend to Lore research, which somehow never seems to go any faster no matter how good you are at the mundane stuff.)
- Honest Lies – Whenever incorporating a real, valuable piece of the truth (however marginally valuable it may be) into a lie, Lyn gains a +2 on your efforts to pass off the untrue parts.
- Teflon Persona – It’s difficult to make Lyn look bad in social conflicts. Provided that those people present are aware of who you are, you gain Armor:1 against any social attacks.
- Let Me Tell You A Story – Lyn has the gift of the gab, able to draw the attention of others with colourful words and stories. This tends to leave your audience distracted. She may use Rapport instead of deceit in order to mount a distraction, so long as she can talk to the targets. If this is not a situation in which Rapport would normally be allowed to do this, she gets a +1 one the roll.
- The Social Graces – Keen awareness of the ebb and flow of social situations makes Lyn the master of her circumstances. When determining initiative in a social conflict, she gains +2 to empathy.
